MSS Safety – 20th Anniversary
MSS has been owned and directed by Daren Herring since January 2006 and for the past 20 years, has grown from it from its early foundations into a multi-discipline training and safety business.
The company was originally established in 1999 as a pump and seal distribution business by Bill Herring, whose practical, hands-on approach shaped the culture and values that still define MSS today. From 2006, Bill took on a different role, developing the Queensland operation and will finally retire in January 2026, closing a significant chapter in the company’s history.
Over the past 16 years, MSS has operated as a Registered Training Organisation, delivering nationally recognised training built on real-world experience rather than simple compliance.
During this time, MSS has evolved well beyond training, expanding into safety equipment supply and becoming an accredited service and sales provider for MSA Safety and 3M Scott.
This evolution reflects MSS’s ongoing commitment to supporting clients across the full safety life cycle, from training and equipment through to inspection, servicing, and long-term partnership.
