Part-Time Safety Trainer/Service Tech – QLD

MSS Safety is expanding its presence in the Bundaberg/Hervey Bay/Maryborough area and we’re looking for an experienced safety trainer to transition retiring staff and help get things moving on the ground while we establish a new training centre.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being part of building something from the early stages.

About the Role

• Part-time, 2 to 3 days per week to start
• Working from home and attending sites
• Company vehicle provided
• Mix of training delivery, technical inspection and calibration work and light business development support

You’ll deliver practical, industry-focused training and, when training demand is lighter, assist with equipment inspection, calibration, and servicing. You may also support light promotional and customer engagement activities to help establish MSS Safety locally.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering training in confined spaces, working at heights, low voltage rescue, warden, and related safety courses
• Assessing learners using approved training and assessment resources
• Supporting learners through practical, real-world training
• Assisting with safety equipment inspection, calibration, and servicing
• Helping build local relationships and awareness of MSS Safety

What We’re Looking For

• Cert IV in Training and Assessment
• Strong experience in confined spaces, working at heights, low voltage rescue, warden and similar training
• Practical industry background
• Comfortable working independently and representing the business
• Flexible and willing to pitch in across training and technical work
