Training: Gas Test Atmospheres PDF Print E-mail

Dangerous levels of flammable or toxic contamination in the atmosphere can exposure workers to risk of explosion, asphyxiation or explosion. Testing these atmospheres prior to entering is vital to assess whether it is safe for personnel to access these locations.

Regular or continuously monitoring of an environment during occupation is required to give early warning of sudden changes in oxygen levels, toxic or flammable gas levels or when the safe exposure limits for toxic gases has been exceeded.

 

Attendees who are assessed as competent in this competency will be issued with a Statement Of Attainment
