MSS design and deliver nationally accredited training RTO courses under licence from Capital Safety Group.

Courses can be delivered at your site, at our premises or at the CSG Training Centre in Sydney, NSW.

We can adapt and tailor bespoke training programs covering confined space entry and height safety to suit your specific requirements.

We also provide user training on self contained breathing apparatus, respiratory protection, gas detection and lock out/tag out.

TCECS - Enter Confined Space

In-class lecture style course covering confined space issues. Participants will be introduced to confined space issues such as the hierarchy of risk management, AS/NZS2865:2009 legislative requirements, equipment selection and use, culminating in the correct procedure for preparation and entry into a confined space.

Participants will be introduced to confined space issues such as hazards identification, heirachy of control, legislative requirements, task planning, equipment selection and use, gas detection strategies and rescue planning, culminating in the correct procedure for preparation of and entry into a confined space. A statement of attainment will be issued for each participant attending the entire course and participating in the required activities, and passing the written and practical exams. The course is completed over 16hours (two days) for those who do not currently hold the competency and over 8hours (one day) for those wanting to complete a refresher course, typically every two years. The Breathing Apparatus competency is only valid for 12 months in line with AS/NZS1715:2009.

TCHSA - Height Safety Awareness

0.5 day/4 hour Capital Safety Group nationally accreditted, in-class lecture style covering the basic height safety awareness issues. Participants will be introduced to height safety issues such as the hierarchy of risk management, very basic legislative requirements, culminating in the correct donning procedure of a full body safety harness, connection and attachment of hardware. A statement of attainment will be issued for each participant attending the entire course and participating in the required activities, and passing the written and practical exams. The Competency is Height Safety Awareness.

TCHSEI - Height Safety Equipment Inspection

This 0.5day/4hr Capital Safety Group nationally accreditted course provides the student with the basic knowledge to inspect and oversee the care, inspection and maintenance of the company’s fall protection equipment. The focus of the training is on soft-good inspection including harnesses, lanyards and anchorage connectors. Visual (external) inspection of Self Retracting Lifelines and hardware are also covered.

The course includes a classroom element which details the requirements of the inspection and maintenance program and goes into detail with regard to inspection criteria. Further, a hands on practical element allows the students to inspect fall protection equipment at the site under the supervision of the instructor and use the i-Safe equipment tracking portal and scanning devices. Inspection logs and manuals are provided. A statement of attainment will be issued for each participant attending the entire course and participating in the required activities, and passing the written and practical exams. The unit of competency is Height Safety Equipment Inspection.

Breathing Apparatus Training

AS/NZS1715:1994 recommends Breathing Apparatus users receive training at least annually or more often if use of equipment is infrequent.

Course Code: STC-500010 - Annual, on-site, 4 hour, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus training for up to ten persons.

In class lecture style training covering respiratory protection issues. Participants are instructed on the need for respiratory protection including hazard identification, exposure, selection & correct use culminating in the correct procedure for preparation, testing and operation of SCBA.

This course is recomended for any person involved in accessing hazardous locations including confined spaces, performing work or maintenance in contaminated atmospheres.

A Statement of Attendance will be issued for each participant attending and completing the required written and practical assessments.

Note: This course contains signigicant practical elements, including proper use of equipment during simulated exercises. There are certain medical conditions (heart disease, asthma etc) which may make certain persons unsuitable for operating breathing apparatus. Refer to AS/NZS1715:1994 or contact us for more information.
