Safework Release New Safe Working At Heights Booklet

SafeworkSA have published a new booklet giving valuable guidance for employers or persons working or responsible for persons working where there is a risk of a fall.

The booklet outlines the process of completing a hazard assessment and using appropriate controls to prevent or minimise the risk of a fall and the need for a rescue plan.

It is a popular misconception that there is a specified minimum height above which controls must be in place.

AS1891.2007/2009 clearly states we have to assess the problem... and fix it!
