What is the difference between a Parchment and a Statement of Attainment?

All learners receive a certificate following successful completion of a course provided under the Australian Qualifications Framework.  The certificate is named according to the level of study achieved:

  • A Parchment or Testamur is issued by a Registered Training Organisation when an individual has successfully completed all of the required units of competency or modules as specified in the Training Package qualification or accredited course
  • A Statement of Attainment is issued by a Registered Training Organisation when an individual has successfully completed one or more units of competency from nationally recognised qualification(s) or courses(s).
